Get a kid’s spinbrush and start them young. Have been brushing my cats’ teeth with this product since they were kittens. (that’s the key to success) But I use a child’s spin toothbrush instead of the one provided. We start by letting them feel the vibrations on their cheeks and eventually they want to chew on it. I have to monitor their brushings closely now because they enjoy it so much they will go at it until their gums bleed! My older rescue will not take part, but the vet said as long as I can get some of the product in his…

Don’t forget to brush I don’t know the the tooth paste does anything but make the brushing a little less traumatic for the kitty. Frankly I don’t care how much my cat hates getting his teeth brushed. It’s made a huge improvement. I wrapped him up in a towel and brushed his back teeth for 20 seconds before letting him go. The first few times it was a bloody mess. His gums were is such bad shape. Kitty likes paste, but paint on tube rubs off We do our best to avoid putting our pets under anesthesia for a dental cleaning. Our kitty is a great dental patient, so we brush his teeth twice weekly with a toothbrush and enzymatic paste. He likes the taste of this Sentry toothpaste. The only problem is the paint on the Sentry tube rubbing off onto our fingers (photo). This could be dangerous because our fingers hold our kitty’s mouth open when brushing. It’s hard to wipe off the paint that sticks to our fingers.
